The Waldorf was recently listed as one of the Top 20 Reasons To Be In Canada by Wallpaper* Magazine.

Vancouver’s dishevelled Waldorf Hotel, built in the 1940s, has been brought back to life as a hip new hangout where going to bed is the last thing on anyone’s mind. Its Tiki Bar, not used since the 1970s, has been restored to its original glory; two eateries, one by Lebanese mini-chain Nuba, offer top-class dining; and a basement cabaret lounge provides a full-on programme of entertainment. If guests can ever make it up to their rooms, they’ll find in-room distraction in the form of an old-school cassette player complete with a selection of compilation tapes, proving that heritage revival continues apace.
